Material list

material list

The material list at the bottom of the Material setup tab displays all material created or imported in the application.

The list shows all the relevant information for each material:

  • code
  • name
  • supplier
  • shape type
  • size (displayed as "width x height", with unit of measures)
  • allowance
  • part allowance
  • category
  • cost (automatically calculated based on the material shape, so if the material is a single sheet, the total cost is calculated from its width and height)

At the top of the list, the user can quickly search for a material given its name or code, by typing in the search bar.

Additionally, the list can be filtered by category or shape.

All search filters can be quickly reset by clicking the Reset filters button, so that the complete list of materials is shown again.

One or more materials can be deleted in one go in the following ways:

  • single material deletion:
    • click on the bin button at the end of a material row -- or --
    • select a material row and press the DELETE key
  • multiple material deletion:
    • select multiple rows on the list and click the bin button of one of the selected rows -- or --
    • select multiple rows on the list and press the DELETE key

Editing a material

To edit a material, first select it on the material list at the bottom of the Material setup page.

The form on the top-left will be filled with the data of the selected material. You can then apply the required changes and re-save the material by clicking the Save button.
