Report configuration

The Report configuration page contains a summary of all nested parts and their computed yields, efficiency and other useful information.

The summary is divided into three section:

  • the Leather parts data, which is computed for parts having a leather/strip material type (see Material types) and processed with the specific algorithm from the Setup model page >> Leather/strip assessment
  • the Non-leather parts data, which is computed for parts having all other kinds of material, during the nesting phase
  • optional Other costs that can be filled in by the user to consider costs not directly related to materials and parts, such as fixed costs, etc.

Leather parts

The data displayed for nested leather parts include:

  • name of the part
  • material associated
  • part gap (*)
  • material area
  • quality grade (*)
  • prime or non prime (*)
  • adjustment factor (*)
  • net pair area, that is the area for a placed pair of parts
  • computed yield
  • computed efficiency
  • computed pair cost

(*) as set in the Setup model page

Non-leather parts

The Non-leather parts list contains the data of automatically nested parts (having a material other than leather/strip).

The displayed columns are:

  • small preview of the part
  • part's name
  • part's size
  • associated material
  • part gap (*)
  • additional waste (*)
  • number of copies per pair (*)
  • number of placed pairs
  • computed yield
  • computed efficiency
  • computed second cut efficiency, if the part has a second cut assigned
  • area of one placed pair
  • area of a placed part's bounding box
  • computed cost per pair

(*) as set in the Setup model page

Some custom additional columns can be added, so that they are included in the exported report and filled in later with other custom data.

To add or remove previously added custom columns, just click on the Add/remove columns button.

Other costs

The Other costs grid stores information about all other costs that are not directly associated to materials and parts. Some examples are:

  • general fixed costs
  • stitching
  • assembly
  • packaging
  • other general manufacturing costs

The rows can be added manually, or you can save/load some recurring costs templates by clicking on the Manage other costs button.

Manage other costs

From the Other costs templates dialog you can add new recurring costs or remove existing ones, by selecting a row and pressing DELETE.

You can then check the costs you want to include in the report and click on:

  • Import to include the templates with their costs
  • Import without cost to include only the templates' names, but you want to use other cost values to fill in manually
  • Save and close to just close the dialog after editing the templates, without actually importing anything

Exporting the report

After checking the data and adding other optional costs, you can export the final report by clicking on the Create report button.

The export document can be generated in the following formats:

  • Microsoft Excel Sheet (*.xlsx)
  • XML document (*.xml)
  • PDF document (*.pdf)
  • JSON BOM file (*.json)

Here's an example of export in PDF format:
