Setting up a license server
In the event where the computer you are installing Jevero on have no direct access to the internet you can setup a license server on anther machine so that you can install the tool without direct internet access. The topology of the network will then be as follows:
Installing the license server
The server machine where the license proxy will run will need to be able to reach our central license server at the url neola.valis.io. This is a requirement for the server to work.
- Download the license server from here
- Unpack the ZIP on the server machine (must be a windows-based system)
- Run the proxy server as administrator
Forwarding license call to the local machine
On each machine that is connected to the server, in order to forward the license calls, you need to:
- Create a text file named
proxySettings.cfgand save it alongside the license file (see here for more info). The two files license.dat and proxySettings.cfg - The file must include a single line with
<IP address>:<port>, e.g.:192.168.1.118:8666pointing to the IP location of the proxy server - Run Jevero/Botcha as usual.
