J_GradeGroupCreate¶
J_GradeGroupRename¶
J_GradeGroupDelete¶
Create, rename and delete a grading group
Grading groups are mappings between sizes. They are used to make some parts of the model grade a set of sizes as a single given one. This can be useful when some parts are shared between two or more sizes (e.g. tooling, knitted parts etc.)
Find it in: Pattern Grading panel
Steps¶
- Creating: Type in name of the group. The new group will map all sizes to sample size. Use drop-down fields to set the mapping
- Renaming: Select the group to rename from the list, then choose the new name
- Deleting: Select the group to delete from the list
Remarks¶
Grading groups are implemented so that you can map any size to any other. This is done in order to ensure maximum flexibility for the system.
J_GradeGroupAssign¶
Assign and check grading groups on curves and centers
Use this command to assign a grade group to any base curve and check which curves are assigned to which group. You can also assign groups to grade centers, so their graded position will follow that group mapping
Find it in: JPattern Grade toolbar
Steps¶
-
Choose the group from the list shown in the dialog. Use the buttons below to perform the desired operation:
-
Use Curves command (or press E) to add or remove (using Ctrl+click) curves and centers to the selected group
- Use + (or press W) and - (or press Q) buttons to set or reset center's grading group
- Use Show (or press R) button to check which curves and centers use currently selected group
- Use Clear (or press T) button to remove all curves and centers from the selected group
Remarks¶
When you assign curves to a group, currently set curves will be selected, so you can add to or remove from the selection according to your needs
J_GradeGroupPartAssign¶
Associate a grade group to an entire part to make all its curves grade according to that group.
You must define a valid grading table and some grading groups to use this command.
Find it in: JPattern Grade toolbar
Steps¶
- When issuing the command, a dialog shows up with a list containing all the parts in the model
- Click on the buttons beside the part names to choose which group to associate to each part
- Click OK when finished
Remarks¶
When associating a grading group to a part, you can always overwrite the grading behaviour of specific part's curves by defining each curve's grading group.
So basically a specific curve's grade group prevails on the overall part's grade group.
