J_ImportScan¶
Import an image file as background trace image
Use this command to import any image file and align it with the existing model
Find it in: JPattern Design toolbar
Steps¶
- Choose the image file to use
- Click two points in the image. You can use the mouse wheel (or press +/-) to zoom and arrow keys to navigate
- Click two points in the Rhino document you are creating. The image will be scaled and rotated to make these points match with the previously picked image points
or
- Choose the image file to use
- Click one point in the image and press OK
- Click one point on the model and the image is scaled 1:1 and aligned in that position
or
- Choose the image file to use
- Click on OK, the center of the image will be selected
- Click one point on the model and the image is scaled 1:1 and aligned in that position
After importing the image, the Image Management dialog allows the user to:
- Hide/show an image by clicking on the checkbox in the related row
- Set the image transparency
- Remove the image
- Replace the imgae
- Try to detect curves by clicking the Autotrace button: curves and lines on the image are detected and added to the model
