J_ShowMaster¶

Show only the master

This command allows you to keep visible the active parts and hide everything else; this is really useful because it allows you to work on the active parts, without having other parts visible. If the command is called again it will make visible all the objects on the current layer.

Steps¶

1. Select (activate) the parts you want to keep visible
2. Click on the Show Master button to hide all the rest.
3. Re-click the button to show all the objects (on the current layer)

Options¶

• If the show generating lines checkbox, in the Pattern Parts panel, is checked then not only active parts will be kept visible, but also their generating lines

J_IsolateShell¶

Hides everything except for the selected shell part

Similarly to J_ShowMaster, this command makes only the selected part visible. This works only on parts marked as Shell, which by definition cannot be active but with this command can be isolated in the same way.

Steps¶

1. Double-click on a shell part to isolate it.
