J_PrintBoxEdit

Create and edit printbox

Printboxes associated with a part in the model are instruments to export some information of the related part. They are included only in the .xgeom and .pcut output. When a printbox is created, it is automatically added to the selected part.

Find it in: JPattern Parts toolbar

Steps

  1. Select a target curve which is contained in one or more parts.
  2. Select the position and rotation of the printbox
  3. Set the options in the window that shows up and click OK (or press space)

Options

General Management

  • Scale factor: set the dimension of the printbox
  • Pick anchor point: select on the target curve the anchor point of the printbox
  • Pick position of printbox: select the position and the rotaion of the printbox

Export information

  • Model name: export the name of the file
  • Part name: export the name of the part. If the target curve is contained in several parts, you can select one of these parts
  • Size: export the size of the model
  • Area: export the area of the part selected
  • Peripheral: export the peripheral of the part selected
  • Date: export the date of output generation

Remarks

If possible, add printbox to a part after all the changes to the pattern have been made. When a printbox has been applied to a part it is marked in the part panel thumbnail with a small blue square.

Create one printbox for all parts without printbox in the model

Find it in: JPattern Parts toolbar

Steps

  1. Set the options in the window that shows up and click OK (or press space)
  2. Select the position and rotation of the printbox
  3. Repeat point 2. for all parts.
