J_TransferDependants

Transfer dependant objects between lines

This command allows you to move dependencies between two selected lines. By dependants we mean any object whose geometry derive from other objects' geometry.

Find it in: JPattern Design toolbar

Steps

  1. Select one curve. This will be the red curve.
  2. Select another curve, which will be the blue curve. The two selected objects will be highlighted and a dialog will open.
  3. The two lists will contain all the dependants of the two curves. Selecting one of the items will highlight the corresponding geometry.
  4. Use the buttons to move only the selected item, move all dependants of a curve to the other or swap all items.
  5. Use Reset button to return to the previous state or click Ok to confirm

Remarks

It is also possible to transfer grading rules from one line to the other. The grading rule is actually copied rather than transferred. When a grading rule exists for the selected line, a "Grade Rule" item appears on the list. It can be copied to the other line as any other dependency (note that this will not work on dependant lines).
