J_ChangeSampleSize

This command allows you to change the sample size of the model. You can choose whether to substitute the model with the graded lines or to keep the current ones.

Find it in: Right click on the grading table

Steps

  1. Right-click on the size you want to make the new sample size.
  2. Select the desired item from the menu
  3. If you choose not to replace the model, you will be asked if you want to regenerate the size measures
  4. The selected size is now the sample size

Remarks

Choosing to replace the model implies its actual change, since its curves will be substituted by the graded curve of the target size.

J_PromoteSoleCenter

Promote a grading center to sole grading center

Use this command to add a grading center for the sole when there is none. You need to have some parts marked as sole to do this.

Find it in: JPattern Grade toolbar

Steps

  1. Select the center to promote
  2. Use the dialog to set the sample size length and width and the increments
  3. The selected center will be promoted to sole center

Remarks

Sole centers are created only when at least one part is marked as sole. All its generating curves will follow the newly promoted center

J_ShowFittings

Show fittings increments table

Use this command to view a dialog where you can add different fittings. A fitting is used to set additional increments for all sizes

Find it in: Pattern Grading panel

Steps

  1. Use Add (+) button to create a new fitting
  2. Use Delete (x) button to remove a row

Remarks

Fitting increments will be multiplied for each size's difference with sample size, and added to the base increments set in the table

J_AddGradingToModel

Convert the pinned curves to base curves

Use this command to add graded curves to the model. You need to have some curves pinned

Find it in: JPattern Grade toolbar

Steps

  1. Select the point where to begin the translation of the lines
  2. Select the second point to end the translation of the lines
  3. Lines are added to the model

Remark

This command will add all the lines to the proper part, so if a curve comes from some part "A" the converted base curves will be added to part "A".
