J_DepConstructionCreate¶
J_DepConstructionEdit¶
Create and edit one or more dependent construction lines
This command allows you to add a couple of construction lines on different base lines, with equal distance from the starting point of the two respective base lines. The first construction line added is the one determining the distance to keep from start. The other will follow with the same distance. You can also edit one or more lines produced in that way. It is also possible to add multiple couples of lines in one run.
Find it in: JPattern Design sidebar
Steps¶
- Adding a single couple of dependent construction lines:
- Select the first curve you want to add the leading construction line to
- Select the second curve where you want the dependent construction line on
- Adjust options which will be applied to all construction lines being added
- Click Ok to add the construction lines to the curves
- Editing geometry of one or multiple dependent construction lines:
- Select all the construction lines you want to edit. You can mix in simple construction lines and dependent ones as you like
- Adjust options, which will be applied to all construction lines being edited
- Click Ok to confirm the modifications.
Options¶
Properties¶
- Length: length of the the construction line
- Angle: the angle between the construction line and the target curve
- Both sides: indicates if the construction line should be drawn on one side of the target curve or on both sides
- Flip: move the construction line to the opposite side of the target curve (it has no effect if the construction line is drawn on both sides)
Remarks¶
- Note that changing the position of a simple construction line connected to a dependent one forced to have the same distance, you will modify both the positions, basing on the first construction line's distance from start
- You will not be able to modify the position of a construction line which is dependent from another one. It is the leading construction line options you need to look at
