J_NestPart¶
Find an efficient placement for a set of parts
Jevero has an integrated nesting tool, which allows you to find an efficient way to place the geometries of the parts you have in the model in terms of material usage. This is useful to give an idea of how much material is used to cut a pair of the current shoe you're designing.
Steps¶
- Select which part to include in the operation in the left grid
- Select which size to use for the nesting
- Select the sheet size in the box below
- Click "Start nesting" to begin the computation (WARNING: this can take several minutes, expecially if you include a lot of parts)
- Check the result in the main box
- If you're satisfied, set the export option:
- Select DXF or PDF format
- Select or create an export configuration (see export data)
- Click "Export" to generate the desired file
Remark¶
This is a computationally heavy operation, so it's advised to run it only when the model is ready, and possibly on recent machines
